And so it begins...the start of creating an oldhammer miniatures webstore

Hi my name is Richard Dunstan and I think some of you will either know me or have bought from me in the past. Having sold lots of minis on Facebook groups (mostly the amazing Oldhammer Valuations, identification and Trading group), I have finally decided to take the dive into creating my own online store, with the same below eBay prices and emphasis on helping fellow oldhammer hobbyists acquire miniatures at a decent price from someone who loves the hobby and that they can trust. Basically, it's painful to keep laying out my wares on a grid every time and I would like to try and create a real business where people can come and shop and see the miniatures more clearly.

It's going to be a long process trying to build up a site and customer base but I really hope that I can add something to the community through selling models at reasonable prices and through creating a social media account to showcase any of my customer's amazing artwork. Likewise, I'd like to have giveaways and competitions and also use the blog to showcase my own hobby projects, thoughts and hopefully interviews with other enthusiasts.

The shop is looking a bit basic at the moment (I have very little technical expertise) but I hope to improve it as I go along, and make it an easier experience for any potential shoppers. At the moment though, if you type in a key word into the search bar, you should see good quality pictures of any models that fit that description. Likewise, you can add any model to your basket and checkout as a guest (no sign up needed) and it all goes through PayPal goods and services so it shouldn't be a hassle to buy things. I may not be technically minded but I'm very good at posting things and making sure the miniatures I send are well-protected and posted in a timely manner.

I will be posting new models up almost everyday and there will be a real focus on Oldhammer and more obscure miniatures that the other sellers don't tend to focus on. And don't worry, there won't be any crazy price-gouging like certain fishy eBay sellers that give resellers a bad name. Likewise, if I'm buying models with the purpose of reselling them, I will let you know. I hate the idea of screwing anyone over, especially in a community that is so supportive and friendly to each other (it made me really happy to get Christmas messages from a lot of people in the community this year).
